Strategic Investments to Shape the City’s Future

The City of Deadwood is pleased to announce the official adoption of its new Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for the years 2026 through 2030. Approved at the recent city commission meeting, the plan outlines a forward-looking strategy for funding and implementing essential projects that will enhance infrastructure, public facilities, preservation projects and community services throughout Historic Deadwood.

The CIP prioritizes investments in roads, water systems, parks, historic resources and public safety, reflecting the city’s commitment to community vitality and improved quality of life for all residents. By establishing a clear roadmap for project selection and funding, the City of Deadwood aims to ensure transparency, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement in upcoming improvements.

Mayor and city officials expressed their appreciation for public input and collaboration that shaped the plan, emphasizing the city’s dedication to building a vibrant and resilient future. Implementation of the 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Plan will begin in January 2026, with regular updates provided to the community.
