City Commission

The City of Deadwood is governed by the City Commission. The City Commission consists of a mayor and four commissioners, which are elected at large for a three-year term.  The mayor and commissioners shall perform the duties prescribed by the laws of South Dakota and the duties prescribed by the ordinance.

The City Commission regular meetings are held the first and third Mondays of each month at 5:00 p.m. at Deadwood City Hall, 102 Sherman Street. If the regular commission meeting falls on a legal holiday, the meeting will be held on the following day at the originally scheduled time.
