Deadwood City Commission

The City of Deadwood is governed by a board of commissioners consisting of the Mayor and four commissioners elected at large. The term of office is three years as determined by Deadwood Codified Ordinances with the terms staggered. The City Commission meets the first and third Monday of every month and is open to the public.

Each Commissioner is responsible for different sectors of local government such as the following:

  • Public Works
  • Public Safety
  • Utilities
  • Finance & Revenue
