Full Time Zoning Coordinator
The City of Deadwood is accepting applications for a full-time Zoning Coordinator. DUTIES include, but are not limited to, assisting in managing, coordinating, and organizing all aspects of the Zoning Department. Responsible for providing information to the public pertaining to zoning, including land use, development review, variance and special exception requests, economic development duties and other areas of zoning. Assist in maintaining a proficient and effective office committed to providing service to the citizens of Deadwood and the surrounding area.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess an ability to work and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with residents and governmental agencies. Position requires an understanding, experience, and enthusiasm for engaging the public in zoning matters and possess the ability to provide information regarding zoning ordinances. Must have equivalent to a high school education including specialized training or college courses in office administration and accounting or bookkeeping plus two years of responsibility related experience or any equivalent combination of related education and experience. Prefer individual with working knowledge of administering zoning ordinances and guidelines.
This individual works under general supervision of the Zoning Administrator. Pre-employment drug screening and background check is required, and applicant must comply with the City of Deadwood residency policy.
