Election

March 24th at 5:00 p.m. was the deadline to submit a petition for Deadwood City Commissioner. 

We received and certified petitions from the following: 
Charles Eagleson 
Michael Johnson 

With two vacant positions and only two petitions received, the number of candidates matches the number of openings, eliminating the need for an election. 

Both of these gentlemen are seated commissioners but will be sworn back into office at the June 16th City Commission meeting for an additional 3-year term, expiring June 2029. 

Congratulations to Commissioner Eagleson and Commissioner Johnson! We appreciate your service and continued dedication to the City of Deadwood.
