DT Wagon

From owner/operators Jim & Susan Patrick:

Jim Patrick built/restored his Peter Schuttler stake bed wagon and began competing in chuckwagon competitions in 2005.  Jim and his wife, Susan, live west of Watertown, SD.  They have cooked in rain, snow and temperatures of over 100 degrees... in SD, MN, WI, IA, NE, OK, TX, NM, CO, WY ...sometimes wondering why?!  Yet ...there is a genuine satisfaction in being a part of a cadre of people committed to preserving and sharing the history of the chuckwagon era. 

In addition to competitions, Jim and Susan have attended chuckwagon gatherings, historical festivals and private events with the wagon. Jim takes great pride in the stories he shares about hitching his team of horses and pulling the DT Wagon on the 17 day - 250 mile wagon train in 2008 from Ft. Pierre to Deadwood, SD to help celebrate the 100^th anniversary of the closing of that historic trail.
