Lifeguards

The City of Deadwood is accepting applications for part-time lifeguards. Applicants must possess a current certification in lifeguard training and standard first aid/adult CPR or have the ability to be certified within 3 months. Public relations skills, knowledge of exercise and weight training equipment, and effective communication skills are desirable. This position has no supervisory duties and works under the direct supervision of the Rec Center Director. This position is responsible for light cleaning tasks, enforcing the rules of the Rec Center and all other duties assigned by the Recreation Center Director. Applicant must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently. This position is part-time with no benefits.  Working hours to be determined and includes evenings and weekends.  Pre-employment drug testing and background check is required.  Starting wage is $16.00/hour.
