Deadwood 150th Reading Challenge
All month, every month, through the end of the year!
Celebrate Deadwood's 150th by helping the library read 150,000 minutes as many minutes as we can! We've reached our goal, so let's see how far we can get!!!
Open to all ages! Pick up your reading log today!
Don't forget to turn in your log sheet before the month is out! Prizes will be awarded each month to those in each age bracket who have spent the most time reading. Age brackets are 2nd grade and under, 3rd to 5th grade, 6th to 12th grade, and adult. At the end of the year, grand prizes will be awarded to the top readers of the year.

June 1st - August 28th
Adults can join in Summer Reading, too!
Fill out a drawing slip for every book read or listened to and be entered to win a prize! Prize drawing August 30th.

Featuring replicas of the first issue of the Black Hills Pioneer!

Call For Artists
The Deadwood Public Library invites local artists of all ages to submit artwork for our October community exhibition.
Accepted media includes painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, sculpture, fiber arts, and digital art.

After School Program
K-2nd Mondays 3:00-4:30pm
3rd-5th Tuesdays 3:00-4:30pm
End the school day doing hands-on activities, art projects, and science experiments. Play with friends, get messy, and be silly.

Unlock a hidden world of creativity! Join us in the library garden for an enchanting evening. Step-by-step, you will paint a glowing "Through the Keyhole" masterpiece and discover what magic is waiting on the other side. Perfect for beginners—just bring your imagination and a thirst for mocktails.
